A sculptural statement piece, IBELE centres on a simple, gently conical form. The pendant is paired with a distinctive hand-woven, hand-dyed bamboo-fibre ribbon, creating a tactile contrast between the weight and texture of the metal and the softness of the woven material. In Zulu, ibele may refer to the shape of a maiden’s breast.
The clasp is deliberately incorporated into the design as a decorative feature, positioned at the front on either side of the main pendant.
